WAUPACA REPUBLICAN

February 10, 1893

A.G. Nelson’s crew of carpenters is busy putting up the frame work for Ed. Widgeman’s new blacksmith shop on the corner of Union and Washington streets.  It is to be 36 x 45.  It will be veneered … brick as soon as the season is favorable.

It looks like cold work to see carpenters building and enclosing barns, blacksmith shops, etc., with the mercury from ten to twenty degrees below zero, but such is the way they are pushing business in Waupaca this winter.
