WAUPACA COUNTY NEWS October 12, 1922 SEED COMPANY FOR CITY NEW VENTURE WILL START BUSINESS ON JANUARY 1ST Waupaca is to have another new business venture that promises to develop into something worth while. It is a wholesale and retail seed company, and has been incorporated under the laws of Wisconsin as the Central Wisconsin Seed Company. A.J. Pinkerton is one of the incorporators and will be general manager. The other incorporators are well known men, but The News at the present writing is not at liberty to make their names public. The company has purchased the building on Union street, now occupied by Carl J. Nelson as a grocery store, and will open for business on January 1st. The new company in addition to dealing in all kinds of farm and garden seeds will handle commercial fertilizers, spraying materials and poultry feeds and supplies. The latest improved machinery will be installed for the grading and cleaning of seeds. Mr. Pinkerton has just returned from a trip that took him through the Dakotas, where he has been on a trip of inspection of alfalfa seed. |
