WAUPACA REPUBLICAN January 19, 1888 Curling Tournament. Today is the first day of the great curling season here this week, and this evening at 6:30 o’clock, the Columbia county curlers will tender their “brithers of the stane and besom,” a grand banquet at the Armory, which is temporarily the curling headquarters. This afternoon at 2 o’clock, on Silver Lake, began the match for the Morgan Medal, the initial contest of the week , the condition of which has been previously explained in the Register.
