SHEP AND SHEP

 

            Last week’s Iola Herald contained an article which will be of interest to Waupaca people as for a short time during the past winter one of the parties mentioned conducted an office in this city.  The chiropractor, while here, did not enjoy a wonderfully lucrative practice.  This may have had something to do with their disappearance.  The following is from the Iola paper:

            Sheperd and Sheperd, chiropractors, did a little disappearing act last Tuesday evening.  They have been maintaining an office in the new Gray Stone Hotel for some months past.  Wednesday morning they and their baggage were missing from their haunts at the hotel.  No explanation for their disappearance was left.  It is reported that he elder brother received a telegram during Tuesday afternoon, the contents of which are not known, however.

            There seems to be no local reason for the brothers leaving the village.  They enjoyed a good practice here and were well liked by the townspeople.  So far the disappearance remains a mystery.
