SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
Editor Reick of the Weyauwega Chronicle this week, makes a good suggestion, when he had the following to say in regard to the concrete highway between this city and Weyauwega: “Waupaca county has a splendid concrete highway between Waupaca and Weyauwega. “This highway should be kept open during the winter months, and, although it is early to begin thinking of winter, it is time some thought was given to this subject. “In a number of places along the road there are obstructions that cause the snow to drift up and make drifts that are almost impassable in the winter time. These obstructions could be easily removed as soon as potato digging is over. “The removal of these unsightly obstructions would not only improve the looks of the farms and the highways, but would do away with the barricades that cause the snow to pile up. “There are not so many obstructions on this end of the road as there are farther towards Waupaca and something should be done in the matter. “An expensive road is no good if it cannot be used to advantage all the year around.”
