YELLOWSTONE TRAIL OFFICIAL CAR TO BE IN WAUPACA MAY 17
On Wednesday, May 17th, at 11:40 a.m., the official Yellowstone Trail car of Henry Orme, Minnesota member of the Executive Committee, will be in Waupaca. This is the official opening of the Yellowstone Trail, particularly between the Twin Cities and Chicago. The car will continue east of Chicago as a publicity measure for travel over the Yellowstone Trail. The official car will have the following in the party: Henry Orme of the Executive Committee for Minnesota; Charles Harrington, Publicity Director of the Yellowstone Trail for Minnesota, of the St. Paul Pioneer-Press-Dispatch; J.W. Cance, of the St. Paul Association of Commerce; Wm. Manheimer, Trailman, of St. Paul, and H.O. Cooley, General Manager of the Yellowstone Trail Association. The representatives are bearing letters of greeting from the Governors of Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana to the people of the cities and towns enroute. The car which will be used carries Minnesota license number 1. The party will be in Waupaca for one hour and twenty minutes. Upon their arrival the party desires to meet the citizens of Waupaca. Mayor Paronto will introduce the speakers at the band stand at 11:40. The speakers will tell something of what the plans of the Yellowstone Trail for this year are. All persons are invited to gather at the Court House Square at 11:40 and receive the greetings of the Yellowstone Trail to Waupaca. |
