CHANGE AT ELECTRIC CO. E.A. ASPNES NO LONGER PRESIDENT AND MANAGER
The Waupaca Electric Service & Ry. Co., of Waupaca announces the resignation of E.A. Aspnes as president and director and general manager, which took effect upon Dec. 12, 1922. J.P. Richardson has been elected president and vice-president; and James Richardson as general manager of the company. Under the new management the company will enter upon 1922 with plans looking toward the expansion of its business and the betterment of the public service. It asks the sincere co-operation of all citizens. Through long and broad experience in the finance and operation of electrical properties, Mr. Richardson is particularly fitted to manage the enterprise, both for the community and stockholders. He will bring his family to Waupaca to make this city their home. He will be undoubtedly an asset to the community and the company he will serve. The News welcomes the Richardson’s on behalf of the city and wishes them a successful New Year. If the resignation of Mr. Aspnes brings about his departure from our city, it will mean the loss of a friend and a pubic spirited citizen. Due to his vision and many-sided activities, the plant of his company has been enlarged, its service nearly doubled and the city made a lighter, safer and more beautiful residing place. Not only has he ministered to his company, but the city as well, which gladly wishes him and his family God-speed. |
