WAUPACA COUNTY POST December 30, 1920
NOTICE
Owing that the City of Waupaca is permeated with measles, the Public Schools will not reopen until further notice. And until further notice children under 15 years of age will not be permitted to attend any public gatherings. In fairness to yourself, your neighbor and the community, it is the duty of any person having knowledge of a suspected case of measles or any contagious disease to report same to the health officer within twenty-four hours. Failure to do so is a violation of Section 1416-3 laws of 1907, and punishable by imprisonment in the county jail not more than three months or a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars. The delinquency of parents who harbor contagious diseases without reporting them prompted the publication of this notice. Your co-operation is earnestly solicited. C.W. ANDREWS Health Officer.
