MANY VEHICLES PASS

 

            On last Sunday a count was made of the traffic passing Chady’s corners, between the hours of 6:00 in the morning and 11:00 o’clock in the evening.  The result of the count was as follows:

                        Wisconsin autos ……    2492

                        Foreign autos ………     137

                        Light motor trucks …       39

                        Heavy motor trucks ..        8

                        Motor cycles ………        18

                        Horse drawn vehicles .     19

                                    Total                 2713

            Of the several census taken this year of the number of cars passing Chady’s corners, Sunday saw the largest number.  Upon the request of the Civic and Commerce Association a records was also kept of the cars taking Highway 22 to the Chain o’ Lakes, and of the 2713 vehicles passing the corners Sunday 2226 either came from or took this trail.  Among the automobiles that were counted on Sunday, there were 23 that were not properly licensed.
