Theodore Anderson Has the Contract to Repair Lea Building

The Lea Building which was damaged by fire Jan. 4 is being repaired under the direction of Theodore Anderson, contractor, of this city.  A twelve-inch wall has been laid to replace the lumber partition between the basement under the Farmers State Bank and the Rexall drug store.  The burned timber which supported the heavy partition between these two business places was taken out in short sections and the brick wall was built up to support the wall which formerly rested on a large timber supported by wooden posts.

A new set of joists have been installed and a new floor laid.

The changes on the first floor including up-to-date decorations will require some weeks and Mr. Murphy hopes to be able to occupy his old stand early in April. Mr. Murphy now occupies the J.M. Ware building, North Main Street, where he is rapidly stocking up with new goods to supply his regular trade.
