Tranquility Spa Opens in Waupaca
By Angie Landsverk, Post Staff Writer
Tranquility Spa of Waupaca recently opened inside the Best Western Grand Seasons Hotel.
It opened about two months ago after an office area on the second floor was remodeled to make room for the spa.
“For the hotel, it’s a nice combination. We can help hotel guests relax. It is more of a trend. It creates more of a destination. It makes it more intriguing,” said Dawn McCoy, who with Ines Kinchen co-owns Tranquility Spa of Waupaca.
In addition, the two women own Tranquility Spa of Green Bay, which they opened last Feb. 14.
“This is an expansion of our Green Bay location” McCoy said of the Waupaca site.
Presently open here by appointment only, people may contact Tranquility Spa at (715)252-4978.
“Anybody can take advantage of our treatments,” she said. “We are open to the public outside of the hotel, but hotel guests can enjoy our treatments, too.”
McCoy, who is an esthetician or skin-care specialist, works part time in Waupaca and says that Tranquility Spa of Waupaca offers a lot of different, unique services.
Among those services are massages, including prenatal massage, hot stone massage, tummy massage, chair massage and sole sanctuary.
Additionally, Tranquility Spa of Waupaca offers facials, lymphatic massage, exfoliation treatment, sinus treatment and many wraps including a redefining contour wrap, a herbal mud wrap and a detox wrap.
Add-on treatments include body scrubs, dry brushing, foot soaks and mini manicures.
“We use an all-organic skin and body-care line that is handmade in Hungary,” McCoy said. “It is professional. It’s just unmatched from any other product line I’ve ever worked with. It’s just pure, natural botanical. Amazing smells with no synthetic ingredients and no chemicals or dyes. You’re getting a pure product.”
She said people may customize their package and visit the spa for something like a massage, while also adding on a body treatment.
“We are offering gift certificates for the holiday season,” she said.
In addition, they will prepare customized gift baskets and offer products such as massage oils, makeup, pure essential oils and incense.
McCoy said the spa can also accommodate large groups, as long as they know in advance.
“Our staff is incredible. They are very personal. Our whole mission is to give completely customized treatments with the utmost care,” she said. “They get lots of attention. That’s why we’re small. People feel that. People feel more comfortable.”
