WAUPACA CHAIN O’ LAKES POWER BOAT CLUB

 

            The members of the above club recently met and re-elected the following officers for the ensuing year.

                        Commodore – Roy Holly

                        Vice Commodore – J.E. Cristy

                        Secretary – C.M. Hall

                        Treasurer – Albert Larsen

            The club has a membership of thirty-eight consisting of those owning, operating, or interested in boating.  The initiation fee is $3.00 which pays the first year’s dues and also pays for a cap for members.  Dues after first year, $2.00.  The Club cap was made expressly for Waupaca Power Boat Club with W.P.B.C. worked in monogram over the forepiece.

                                                            The Object of the Club

            To promote interest in boating, to emphasize and promote interest in the Chain o’ Lakes, to inculcate a knowledge of rules of navigation, to encourage harmony among members and to promote and conduct races, parades, etc.

            The Club has secured passage of a law by the last legislature to govern navigation on Chain o’ Lakes.

            Will install and maintain lights and buoys at channels and shallows and endeavor to have channels opened wider and dredged to proper depth will hold races and illuminate parades frequently during the summer.

            It is the desire of the Club that everyone interested in boating become a member.
