A CARLOAD OF FISH

Black Bass Minnows Put in Chain o’ Lakes

Hon. E.E. Browne, was in receipt Saturday of a carload of black bass minnows, from the State Fish Commissioner, which was placed in the Chain o’ Lakes. This is good news and is a step that will greatly benefit our city as an attractive resort where good fishing is assured. The constant fishing on our Chain o’ Lakes has greatly depleted the fish and has injured this resort by keeping many sportsmen away on that account. There is no reason why the fishing should not get better each season and the successful efforts of Mr. Browne in stocking the lakes with game fish is a source of great satisfaction and is greatly appreciated by all now and will be more so as they reach their growth.
