SHEALTIEL SPRING WATER

The first improvements made at Chain o’ Lakes were started by Dr. Calkins in 1885 and 1886 at the north side of Hicks Lake, where he discovered the Shealtiel Springs.  Dr. Calkins shipped large quantities of this water over the country besides supplying local customers and the industry which promised much for him and the Chain o’ Lakes was cut short by his untimely death.  The present owners of the spring are arranging to make improvements there, and supply Waupaca people with this water, which needs no introduction.  Those desiring using the same will kindly notify Mr. or Mrs. M.P. Skinner.
