A man giving his name as Jim Cherry, alleged to be the murderer of a farmer near Waukesha, last week, was arrested in Waupaca Wednesday by Deputy Sheriff Hess.

A reward was offered, and photographs of the murderer sent out, which description tallied with the man under arrest. Nothing definite has been learned as yet relative to the man here in jail.

A description of Jim Baker, the man wanted in connection with the murder, was wired here by the sheriff of Waukesha county, which did not compare with the suspect under arrest and he was released Thursday.

NOT THE MAN

A fellow giving his name as “Jim Cherry” was arrested here Tuesday as the suspected murderer of a farmer near Waukesha last week. Sheriff Hess wired for photograph and description of the suspect which did not tally with the description and he was discharged.
