Frihart
Given Fine of $200 in Trial at Fondy
The case
of the State of Wisconsin vs.
O.E. Frihart in which the defendant was charged with
violation of the liquor laws was heard before Circuit Judge Fowler at Fond
du Lac Monday. The defendant was found guilty and assessed a
fine of $200 or four months in jail.
Attorney F.B. Keefe of Oshkosh
represented the defendant and District Attorney Otto L. Olen represented the
state. An appeal will be made by defendant’s
attorney to the supreme court. No jury was available so the attorneys agreed
to let the judge decide it. Mr. Frihart had secured a change of venue from the local court.
