Charged With Arson

For several days preceding last Saturday and following the arrest of Ole Christianson and Fred Chady there had been rumors on the streets of a confession having been made by Christianson implicating Sam Stout in the attempt to burn Woodnorth’s building last winter.  A few knew for a certainty that the confession had been made and to them it was not a matter of surprise to learn that Stout had been arrested last Saturday on a warrant sworn out by Albert Bradley.  Stout went before Justice Chesley and waived an examination, his bail being fixed at $2000.  An appeal was made to Judge Ogden and he reduced it to $1000, which was obtained, Joe Reed, of Royalton, and Frank Stout, of this city, going on the bond.
