FORMER RESIDENT DIES AT PORTLAND

Word has been received that Justus Burnham died at Portland, Oregon, the 21^st inst. He was an old and respected resident of Waupaca having been principal of the Union school for years. He was at one time county superintendent of schools of this county and earlier taught in Ogdensburg, Weyauwega and New London.

For about five years he was at the head of the LaCrosse schools and went to Portland from there and was at the head of the same school for twenty-six years.
