Miss
Junietta A. Calkins died at Chippewa Falls
on Monday, July 27, of tuberculosis after a short illness. The remains were brot to this city on
Wednesday morning accompanied by her sisters, Mrs. M.F. Skinner and Mrs. F.G.
Barnum, who had been summoned to her bedside on Saturday.
She
was born in this city on Feb. 17, 1877,
and was the youngest daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Calkins, both of whom have passed
away.
The funeral was held from the old family
residence, where she was born, now the home of her sister, Mrs. Skinner, on
Wednesday afternoon at 5 o’clock,
Rev. Deis of St. Mark’s church officiating, with interment in Lakeview cemetery
beside her father and mother. The
funeral was private, no one being present but the immediate relatives and a few
intimate friends. She is survived by her
sisters, Mrs. M.F. Skinner and Mrs. A.R. Lea of this city, Mrs. Otto Koch and
Mrs. F.G. Barnum of Milwaukee, Mrs. F.R. Holcombe of Madison and Mrs. J.V.
Janda of Boyd, all but the last named being present with their families at the
funeral.

Junie Calkins, youngest daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Geo. H. Calkins died
at Chippewa Falls and the remains were brought to this city Wednesday for
interment in the family lot in Lakeside cemetery.
Deceased was unmarried.
