James P.
Christensen died at his home on 5th street
in this city on Sunday, July 5, at the age of 74 years.
He
was born in Denmark
in 1834 and came to this section at an early day and settled on a farm about
four miles from Waupaca. He came to this
city to make his home about four years ago.
He is survived by three sons, Chris N., Christian A., and L.M., all of
this city.
The
funeral was held from the house at one o’clock
and from Our Savior’s church at two o’clock,
Rev. Jensen officiating with interment in Lakeview cemetery.

Christensen died at his home on Fifth Street
last Saturday of cancer. He was born in Denmark
July 2, 1834, and came to
this country twenty years ago, then residing on a farm near Ogdensburg for
thirteen years and then moved to this city where he has since made his
home. Mr. Christensen served in the war
in 1864 between Denmark
and German. He was married in the old
country and three sons, Christen, Christian and Marinius,
all of whom live in or near the city survive him, besides his widow.
