Button Cornell
Waupaca Republican
April 16, 1908
At the M.E. Parsonage of this city Wednesday evening at 6 o’clock, April 15, 1908, a pretty wedding occurred when Arthur Button of Waupaca and Carrie May Cornell of Dayton were joined in holy matrimony, Rev. Webster Millar officiating. Mr. Ray Austin of Lind acted as groomsman and Miss Goldie Radley as bridesmaid. The bride was attired in a handsome costume of blue Chinese silk and her bridesmaid in Persian lawn. The groom and the groomsman wore the conventional black. The contracting parties were well known in the respective communities in which they have lived and are respected by a large circle of friends who extend them congratulations for a long and happy matrimonial journey. After the wedding ceremony the bridal party went to the Hotel Delevan and were served a wedding dinner. They took the 15:52 A.M. train on Thursday morning for a short honeymoon trip to Superior of this state where they will visit relatives of the bride until Saturday when they will return and take up their residence on the farm formerly owned by the father of the groom south of this city on the Berlin road.
