At the residence of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Holmes on Union Street in this city Tuesday evening, June 25 at promptly eight o’clock, Grace Glenna was united in marriage to Ingoll G. Larson, Rev. Webster Millar, pastor of M.E. church, officiating; the guests being the relatives of the bride and groom, the near neighbors, “Chafing Dish Club” and the “Crescent Quartette”, of which the bride and groom are members.
The rooms were decorated with pink and white peonies and ferns.
At the appointed time Mrs. Geo. H. Skinner played Mendelsson’s Wedding March, the bridal party taking their places beneath an area of peonies draped with smilax in the bow window.
The bride was attended by her cousin, Miss Inga Evelyn Dakin, while Mr. Henry Nelson acted as best man. The impressive Episcopal marriage service was used.
The bride’s gown was India lawn with trimmings of Irish point A shower bouquet of Brides roses was carried. The bridesmaid was gowned in French lawn with shadow embroidery. She carried white and yellow carnations.
After the ceremony and congratulations, several beautiful selections were rendered by the quartette.
A most delightful surprise was the appearance of the Waupaca City Band which furnished music while the guests repaired to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. I.M. Dakin, aunt and uncle of the bride, just across the lawn where refreshments were served.
Twelve were seated at the bridal table, eight small tables accommodating the other guests. The decorations were in white and yellow Carnations, asparagus ferns and smilax. Miss Mollie Soules attended ….
