FORMER WAUPACA BOY WEDS

Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Townsend of Northeast Farmington received a surprise last Monday in the announcement of the marriage of their son, John Townsend.

The bride was Miss Lois Harriet, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. E.M. Manwaren, of Washington, D.C., where the wedding took place last Tuesday.

Mr. Townsend attended our city High school graduating under Prof. Doty. He later graduated from the University of Wisconsin and now holds the responsible position of electrician and chief engineer for the Electric Light and Railway Co. at Youngstown, Ohio.

The Republican joins his many friends extending congratulations and wishing Mr. Townsend and his bride many years wedded bliss.
