FLOUR MILLS SOLD
And Little Wolf will
Experience a Boom
E.W.
Allen’s B.B.B. Flour company, of San
Jose, Cal., has just closed a
deal for the purchase of the flour mills at Little Wolf whereby the company
takes immediate possession and will at once begin improving the property. This company manufactures several brands of
self-rising flour, which is sold in packages, and a large trade on the Pacific
coast has been built up, which is so rapidly extending eastward that it was
desired to establish a milling plant and factory at some central point where
cheap power could be had. Learning that
the mills at Little Wolf were for sale, after several weeks’ correspondence
with the agents, A.L. Hutchinson & Son of Weyauwega, Mr. Allen arrived
there Thursday morning, and after making a personal inspection of the property
was so well pleased with the prospects and the abundance of cheap water power,
that he immediately closed a deal for its purchase, took possession and placed
Mr. Booth, the present miller, in charge as superintendent. A.L. Hutchinson will look after the interests
of the company. Mr. Allen left for home
via St. Paul and Seattle,
Saturday evening.
The
county has just completed a $7,000 concrete bridge at that point, and this
change in the milling interests is destined to make a thriving hamlet of Little
Wolf.
