Upset

The milk wagon of Lars Larson was struck by a street car on the hill near Mrs. West’s Wednesday morning.  The wagon was over-turned and quite badly broken up and the cans and bottles destroyed.  The horse escaped injury and the driver was not badly injured.  The driver did not hear the gong because of the rattling of the cans and the motorman expected the car to clear the wagon. However he should have put on the brakes so as to have had the car more nearly under control.  Delivery wagons have to use the strip between the track and the walk which is rather narrow and makes such accidents probably.
