BOTH WAUPACA TEAMS
LOSE AT FOOTBALL
High School Loses to Stevens
Point Normal
and the Stars to the Neenah
Cardinals.
The Waupaca
High School played a return game of
football against the Stevens Point Normal last Saturday at Stevens
Point and were defeated by 59
to 0. The high school was out-classed in
weight, age and height, but played a plucky clean game from start to finish of
two long halves. The team has also lost one
of their strongest players who has been forbidden to
play by his parents.
Stars
vs. Cardinals
The game at
the Grand View
Park Sunday was a game filled with
much wrangling and “rag-chewing”. The
Neenah Cardinals were the victors by a score of 11 to 6. Neenah
was decidedly the stronger team and if their team work had been up to that of
the local team it would have been a very one-sided game. The star play of the game was the run of A.
Larson for a touchdown form the kickoff.
On Thanksgiving day the teams will line up in Neenah
for a game.
