The Leap Year dancing party given at Castle Hall last Thursday evening by the Samaritan Rebekahs was one of the most enjoyable social functions given this winter.  No effort was spared to make it a success.

The decorations were red and yellow.  Large streamer were draped from the center chandelier to the side and end walls.

Placards printed with yellow on red card board, were tacked up on the walls, such as “Gentlemen should not cross the floor with out a lady escort”  “Wall flowers are not allowed to smoke”, “Look before you leap”, and many others.  In three of the corners were cozy booths and in the other corner the American beverage, ice water.  The favors were red and yellow paper carnations.

Allen’s orchestra of seven pieces furnished the music, for dancing.  Refreshments were served at 11:30, and dancing kept up until two o’clock.  About seventy-five couples were present and all carried away with them an elegant impression of the entertainment.
