THE DISPENSIO CLUB

Hold a Banquet At The Delevan Tuesday Evening; Fine Menu, Smoker On Toast

There are Woman’s Clubs, Girl’s Clubs and Business Men’s Clubs, etc; and it was but natural that the young men should organize a club and be up-to-date in banquets, and all that goes, even to the “smoker”, so the “Dispensio” Club was organized.  The name we presume means to divide work and pleasure.  Their first efforts in launching the club was to divvy up equally and turn the “divvy” over to mine hosts Van Dusen & Myer of the Delevan for the purposes set forth and declared.  And with them came Allens Orchestra.  Messrs. Meyers & Van Dusen done the rest, except the toasts.  The tables were dressed and palms adorned them and room and electroliers were draped in red.  The following menu was “dispenseioed”:

Mock Turtle ala Anglaise

Iced Celery                  Green Olives

Fillet of Red Snapper aux Court Boullion

Duchesse Potatoes

Braised Squabs ala Russe

Browned Sweet Potatoes

French Peas en cases

Small Patties of Chicken ala Reine

Potato Croquettes

Asparagus Tips in cream

Cold Tongue

Lobster Salad on Mayonnaise

Ice Cream

Assorted Cake                         Crushed Strawberries

Assorted Nuts

Cream Cheese              Wafers

Coffee ala Dispensio

Waupaca Spring Water

While the tempting menu was being served, the following program was rendered:

            William Tell overture, Allen’s Orchestra

            Stein Song, Crescent Quartette

            Solo selected, Henry Nelson

“Squelched” Overture (Composed for this occasion), Allen’s Orchestra
