WILL RAISE PHEASANTS

EGGS ARE BEING GIVEN FARMERS TO BE HATCHED BY HENS

The Waupaca Game and Protective Association will endeavor to have raised as many Ring Neck Golden Pheasants as they can get hatched in this vicinity.  The association has contracted to set 200 eggs and so far to date fifteen farmers have contracted to take settings.  The birds hatched will be turned loose, in the hope that they will revive some of the lost wild game life and add to the attractiveness of our woods and wild lands.

J.E. Campbell and Milton Laux as well as other members of the association will be glad to give any one interested in hatching a setting of the eggs and all information necessary.

Pheasants are to be hatched under hens and it is said can be separated from the foster mother in two or three weeks, being well able to take care of themselves in that time.

Last year interest in the undertaking was started late but a few settings were hatched.  About twenty birds were hatched and successfully raised.
