SMALL POX

Under the provision of Chapter 113, laws of 1907, which went into effect recently, Health Officer Sander ha issued notice that all pupils and teachers who have not been successfully vaccinated and who do not prove recent vaccination, must leave school for a period of twenty-five days.  The order was issued on Tuesday, but will not go into effect until June 7.  Inasmuch as there are but a few days more of school, it will not materially interfere with school work.

Albert Arnold, in whose family there has been a case, came down with the disease on Monday, in a light form. Monday afternoon, the family of Rev. M.N. Andreasen was also placed in quarantine, as one of the children had a breaking out on his face.  It may not be small pox, but Dr. Sanders thought it best to take every precaution. Several other houses have been quarantined during the past few weeks, where symptoms of the disease appeared, and afterwards the quarantine has been raised.  Those patients who have it are all getting along nicely.
