ANNUAL PROGRAM OF THE WOMAN’S CLUB
Given at the Nelson Home Tuesday Evening
Club Was Divided Into Four Sections
The second annual program of the Woman’s Club was given at the home of Mrs. A.G. Nelson on Tuesday evening. The evening’s entertainment was under the direction of the following committee: Mrs. G.A. Bronson, Mrs. J.A. Versen and Mrs. J.B. Lehman.
The club has a membership of forty-five and was divided into four sections each taking an active part in the program. The club this year is making a study of Scotland and the program was devoted to the folklore of that interesting country.
The spacious parlors of the hostess were appropriately decorated for the occasion and Mrs. L.H. Pelton was chairman of the section representing the Scottish Ghosts, Mrs. M.E. Scott of the Brownies, Mrs. Edward E. Browne of the Scottish Fairies, and Mrs. C.H. Phillips of the Witches.
Tableaus from the Witches’ scene in MacBeth and from Barrie’s Little Minister, also from the Midsummer Night’s Dream were given.
Mrs. Tom Davidson, a guest of the club, sang several Scotch ballads.
The affair was very entertaining and the appointments were very elaborate.
