Waupaca Republican

October 25, 1907

Just twenty-five years ago on the morning of Oct. 16, ye editor took the train at Ripon for Waupaca to take charge of the REPUBLICAN while Mr. C.N. Hodges, then the editor, was sick with heart trouble.  Mr. Hodges died in November and we made a deal where the REPUBLICAN passed under our management and ownership.  A quarter of a century has passed in beautiful Waupaca.  “Then and Now” will be a subject which will be given attention later.
