W.R. Jaeger et al Purchase Interest in Waupaca News

The Waupaca County News, which was established nearly five years ago by the present publisher, will after June 1st, be published by the Waupaca Publishing Company, and besides Robert H. Wright retaining a large block of stock in the concern, will have several local people as members of the company, as well as securing the services of William R. Jaeger of Rhinelander, who will be in charge of the business and while Mr. Wright will continue as editor.

Mr. Jaeger has had over seventeen years of experience, having publishing experience, having published papers at Gladstone, Mich., and at Edgar, Merrill and Rhinelander, Wis.  His efforts in Rhinelander were particularly successful from a financial standpoint, he having built the paper up from a losing proposition to the point where it brought one of the highest prices ever paid for a small town daily in Wisconsin.

Considerable new equipment will be installed in The News plant to more fully and efficiently take care of a growing business.  Among these additions will be two new linotype machines and a large newspaper press with automatic folder, besides several smaller pieces of machinery.

Mr. Jaeger has leased the Browne residence on South Main Street and will move his household goods here before June firs.  The family consists of three daughters, Marion, Nancy and Ruth.  Miss Marion graduated from the Rhinelander High school this week and will enter Lawrence College at Appleton next fall.  -  Courtesy Waupaca News.
