BAILEY – In this city, Feb. 18, Eunice, wife of S.B. Bailey, aged 79 years.

Deceased was the wife of the old gentleman, familiarly known as “Uncle Bailey, the boatman”. They lived at Independence, Iowa, until eight or nine years ago. She was a woman of excellent Christian character and a dutiful wife and mother. A.L. Bailey of this city, Simon Bailey of Pittsville, and Mrs. E. Welles, of Independence, Iowa, are the children who were with her at the time of her death. Another son, Arthur, has been away for a number of years and the family have not had his address for a long time.

The funeral was held yesterday afternoon, Rev. Perry Millar conducting the services.
