DEATH OF WILHELM BAUER
Wilhelm Bauer, one of the old and highly respected residents of Weyauwega, died on Wednesday evening, after a brief illness. Mr. Bauer was well known in this city, where he was a frequent visitor. He was born at Rania, province of Saxony, in 1838. He came to this country in 1865, working at his trade, that of a cabinet maker, a short time at Racine. He then came to Weyauwega and, entering the furniture business, built up a fine trade. In 1867 he was married to Miss Hannah Behnke, who, with eight children, survives him, the children being Mrs. Frank S. Grubb of Stanley; Mrs. Laura McMiller of Ashland, and Mrs. Paula Uttormark, Misses Hulda, Rena and Emma Bauer, and Fritz and Irvin of Weyauwega.
The funeral took place Saturday.
