Death of Mrs. Gus
Bronson
The many
friends of Mrs. G.A. Bronson in this city were pained and shocked to learn of
her death Thursday morning at two o’clock. A week ago Tuesday night Mrs. Bronson
assisted in the War Panorama at the opera house. She contracted a cold which developed in
pneumonia. She was reported as feeling
better the first of the week, but a sudden change for the worse set in, and
although everything was done that medical skill and kind attention and care of
husband and friends could do she passed to the other shore. Mrs. Bronson was a lady loved by all who knew
her. She often assisted her husband in
entertainments for the benefit of churches and worthy enterprises in this city,
and her heart was full of charity and loving kindness. She was also devoted to her family, and her
demise is indeed a crushing blow to her husband and her three boys who are left
to mourn the loss of he dearest of companions and
mother. Mrs. Bronson’s maiden name was Emeline Knapp. Her
father is A.B. Knapp, of Beloit. He was one of the first mill owners of Oshkosh
in an early day. The people of this
community and all who know the family will deeply sympathize with them in their
deep affliction.
Funeral
Saturday morning at ten o’clock at
St. Mark’s church. Rev.
Burleson officiating.
