CHAS. M. BROWN DEAD

A Denver paper gives the following account of the death of Charles M. Brown, eldest son of the late B.F. Brown of this city:

“After a year’s suffering, Attorney Charles M. Brown, a well-known lawyer and staunch Republican, died on Friday at Mercy Hospital.  Overwork in the last campaign for his party brought on a collapse form incipient diabetes, from which he was a sufferer.  A week ago the patient was removed to Mercy hospital, where his wife and children constantly attended him.

Mr. Brown was 54 years of age.  He was born in Waupaca, Wis., but came west when quite young.  He first located in Oklahoma, where he was attorney general for two terms and a member of the provisional supreme court.  He came to Colorado for his wife’s health twelve years ago, and at once engaged in the practice of law.  He retired from active business three years ago. One of his latest public duties was performed as a Republican member of the charter convention which gave the new charter to this city.  The deceased is survived by a widow and four children.”

Mr. Brown was present at his father’s funeral two years ago and it will be remembered that Mr. Brown and family were in Waupaca last summer.

In addition to his family there are two brothers, Walter and George in Missouri and one sister Mrs. George Moore in this city.
