C.P. DALL IS DEAD FOLLOWING STROKE

C.P. Dall was born at Slesvig-Holstein, Denmark, on Feb. 26, 1851, and died at his home in this city about noon on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1926, at the age of 75 years, seven months and 24 days.  Death came following a paralytic stroke, suffered shortly after the dinner hour on Monday, while he was at work in his shoe store.

Mr. Dall came to America in his early years, and for several years worked in Chicago.  From Chicago he came to this county and settled at New London, in which city he was united in marriage to Mrs. Peter Wied.  Shortly after his marriage he came to Waupaca, and for the past forty years had conducted a retail shoe store and shoe repair shop here.

Mr. Dall was well and favorably known to the people of this city.  He was a member of the Waupaca I.O.O.F. and the D.D.H. society, and had held office in both these lodges, being Noble Grand and going through the chairs of the I.O.O.F.  At one time he was city treasurer of Waupaca.

There is left to mourn his loss, besides numerous friends among the older Danish settlers of this city, an adopted daughter, Mrs. Mable Page and a granddaughter, Mrs. Hugo Phillips, both of Chicago.

The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon from the Holy Ghost Lutheran church, Rev. K.M. Mathiesen officiating.  Interment will be in Lakeside cemetery.
