Julius W. Daniels

Julius W. Daniels, member of the Wisconsin Veterans’ Home, broke thru the ice on Rainbow Lake on Wednesday and died of exhaustion before he could be rescued. He clung to the edge of the ice very bravely while his cry for help soon brought people to his aid, but owing to his advanced age, 84 years, his strength gave way. He was taken at once to the Hospital but it was impossible to resuscitate him. He had been a resident of this section for about 17 years and was an old sailor.
