Clarence Ekern of this city passed away at 9 o’clock Sunday night at the home of his aunt, Mrs. M. Rogers, at Stevens Point after an illness of several months with tuberculosis.  He has never enjoyed rugged health and has been in a decline for upwards of a year.  He came to Stevens Point about sixteen weeks ago.

The deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Ekern, former residents of Stevens Point.  Both passed away about twelve years ago.  The deceased was raised by his grandmother here, but for the past two years has lived with other relatives in and near the city.  The only surviving member of his immediate family is a brother, William, who resides in Montana.  The deceased was born in Waupaca and would be 18 years old on April 30th.
