Mrs. Fred George Died May 11th at Home of Her Son
Mrs. Fred George died at the home of her son, Harry George, at Oshkosh May 11, after an illness of more than one and a half years following a paralytic stroke in October 1924.
Harriet Freeman was born in Saxeville August 3, 1861, and was married to Fred George in July, 1880.
Of this union four children all grew to manhood and womanhood. They are: Harry George, Oshkosh; Maude (Mrs. Irving Darrow), Oshkosh; Florence (Mrs. Ed Johanknecht) of this city and Dora (Mrs. Wm. Freeman) of Oshkosh.
The funeral was held at Oshkosh Thursday with a short service and interment at Parfreyville cemetery. A large number of old neighbors attended the simple rites at Parfreyville where the couple made their home until about three years ago when they moved to Oshkosh because of their failing health. The husband of deceased is in feeble health and has been for several years.
