A young man named P.M. Green, nineteen years of age, was instantly killed Monday morning at Curran’s camp, near Hall’s Mill.  A tree had been chopped down and lodged, the butt resting on the stump, and when pried loose the tree sprung back, striking Green in the side with the above result.  The body was taken to Hancock Wednesday, and the funeral occurred Thursday.  His father is living and is at present at Hall’s mill.
