Death of Charles Guldager
Charles, the eldest son on Fred Guldager, a man raised in Waupaca and who always commanded the respect and admiration of his associates and acquaintances everywhere from boyhood to manhood for his many worth, died at his home on Van Street, Thursday night, October 17, of heart trouble. Deceased was past thirty years of age and his boyhood and school days were spent in this city. He entered Mr. Roberts’ bank as a bookkeeper a number of years ago, and when the first bank was started in Iola he was made its cashier.
He married a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Dale and since his father-in-law’s death he has been administrator of the estate. His health failing, he moved to Waupaca recently and rented part of Mrs. Sether’s house on Van Street, intending to take a course of medical treatment here, and perhaps go south in the winter to benefit his health, but the kind of terrors – death - suddenly took him. He laves besides his own family, his family, four sisters, and one brother, Fred, who is in the far off Philippines.
He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge at Iola and the remains will be taken there for burial, the funeral to take place Saturday. The sorrowing family have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
