            Nels Gunderson died at his home in this city on Saturday morning from typhoid fever, after an illness of two weeks.

            He was a native of Denmark, born on Nov. 8, 1879, and was, at the time of his death, twenty-nine years of age.  He came to this country when quite young and has been a resident of this vicinity for several years.  He was married in 1904 at wild Rose to Miss Ella Olson, who survives him.

            The funeral was held form the family residence on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. A.T. Erickson officiating.  The services were under the auspices of the Lodge of Eagles, who attended in a body and interment was made in the Lakeview cemetery.

            Those from away in attendance at the funeral were:  Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Hanson, Wild Rose; Simon Sorenson, Big Falls; Herman Baum, Chicago; Mrs. Will Whittington, Scandinavia.

            Nels Gunderson died at his home on Center Street Saturday morning.  The deceased was born in Denmark in 1868 and came to this country about twenty years ago.  About twelve years ago he came to Waupaca where he has since resided, and was engaged in the saloon business.  About three years ago Mr. Gunderson was married to Miss Ella Olson, who survives him only.  He was taken ill nine days before his death.  The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon from the residence, Rev. Erickson officiating, and the male quartet assisted in the services.  The Eagles had charge of the funeral.

            The deceased leave a large circle of friends to mourn his loss.

            Nels Gunderson died Saturday morning after an illness of only nine days with typhoid fever.  Born in Denmark in 1868, he came to America at the age of nineteen and settled in Waupaca twelve years ago.  He at once engaged in the saloon business and has remained engaged in that line ever since.  He was married three years ago to Miss Ella Olson who survives him.

            Mr. Gunderson by his kindness and good fellowship won many friends, who, with his widow, mourn his loss.  He was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, who had charge of the funeral, assisted by Rev. Erickson and the Male Quartet.  The burial was Tuesday afternoon, and the places of business were closed form 2 to 3 o’clock out of respect to his memory.
