Mrs. Catherine Lavina Harris was born in Oswego county, N.Y., Nov. 8^th, 1830, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Barrington, Sr., in Springwater, Jan. 25^th, 1908, being at the time of her death, seventy-seven years, two months and seventeen days. About twenty-five yeas ago, Mrs. Harris was converted to the Methodist faith, to which she remained faithful until her death.

She leaves to mourn her loss, two daughters, one son and nineteen grandchildren. The funeral was held Monday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. at Crystal Lake church, Rev. E.D. Allen officiating.
