MRS. ANN HOLMAN IS
CALLED HOME
Mrs.
Ann S. Holman passed away at 3 p.m.,
Saturday, March 17th, at her home on South
Main St., where she has lived the past eleven
years. Mrs. Holman was born at Milford,
Wis., Feb. 18, 1847; second daughter of H.B. Hawley and Teresa
Hathaway. She attended school in Milford
and Lake Mills,
and on March 6, 1967, was
married to Clark E. Holman, and lived on a farm near Milford
six years, later moving to the town of Dayton,
where she resided until Mr. Holman’s death on April 6, 1917, when she moved to Waupaca where she has
since resided.
The
immediate family left to mourn her loss are five sons
and one daughter, Luzern Holman of Appleton,
Katherine L. Evans of Bearsford,
Fla.; Hawley B. Holman, who lived with her
mother; Theron C. Holman of Dayton;
Ray M. Holman of Dayton, and Les A.
Holman of Chicago; one daughter,
Elma Eaton, died several years ago.
Other relatives are 21 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, beside
other relatives.
Deceased
united with the Presbyterian church of Rural many
years ago, and transferred to the Baptist church since moving to Waupaca. She was also a member of the W.C.T.U. and
W.R.C., also the Home Missionary society, and the Baptist Union.
The
funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Baptist church, the Rev. W.W.
Woodward, officiating. Interment was at Lakeside
Cemetery at Waupaca.
Those
who came to attend the last rites were Mr. and Mrs. Luzern
Holman, Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Holman and son Leon, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Erickson of Oshkosh.
