Jensen Emma01

Waupaca Republican

August 20, 1914

Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Crystal Lake church, occurred the funeral of Miss Emma Marie Jensen, who passed away at her home in Dayton August 9, after a lingering illness of three months.  The services were conducted by Rev. Andreus of Rural, and the choir was also of Rural, and rendered several beautiful selections of music.

The pallbearers were old schoolmates and friends, Grant Rogers, Max Lemke, Charles Wilde, Walter Radley, Rheinhart Lemke and Leon Dunn.

The services were well attended, the church being crowded.  The floral offerings were many and beautiful, among them being a lovely piece from her friends in the telephone office.

Miss Jensen was born December 16, 1895, and during the eighteen years of her life had won many warm, devoted friends, both here among her neighbors, and also in Waupaca, where she served almost a year in the Wisconsin telephone office.  She was a girl of sweet, loving character, faithful to her friends and devoted and unselfish toward those of her own family.  She will be greatly missed and unforgotten in this community, where she was born.

She leaves to mourn her loss a father, mother, sister and two brothers, Ella, Alfred and William.
