At the age of 84 Hans Jensen, an old and respected settler of Lind, died Saturday morning after an illness of about two weeks.

Jensen came from Lolland, Denmark about 40 years ago and has lived here since. The funeral took place on Monday from the farm of Soren Jenson, his son and the funeral service was held in the church at Lind, Rev. Andreasen of Our Saviors church, preaching the sermon. Beside the son, Soren Jensen, he leaves a married daughter the wife of Matt Jensen, alderman of the Fourth Ward of this city. The funeral was largely attended and interment was at the Lind cemetery.
