Mrs. Maren Jensen died Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chris Mathiasen. Mrs. Jensen was born October 21, 1821, in Thingstrup, Denmark. Her husband died in the old country in the year 1883 and she, with some of her children, came shortly after to this country and settled in this city, where they have lived ever since. She was a very bright old lady and was well liked by all who knew her. The cause of her death was old age. She did not suffer much toward the last but slept peacefully away.

She is survived by six children, Mrs. John Madsen, Matt, Nels and James Jensen, of this city, Mrs. Knudstrup of Manistee, Mich., and Mrs. Munkholn of Denmark. She has also several grandchildren living in this country.

The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon from the home of Chris. Mathiasen, Rev. N.P. Simonsen officiating. The pall bearers were Matt, Nels and James Jensen, John Madsen, Chris Mathiasen and Mr. Jasperson of Minneapolis.
