Mrs. J.P.J. Jensen Died Sept. 26, At Home of Daughter

 

            Mrs. J.P.J. Jensen died at the home of her daughter, Forest Park, Ill., Sunday, Sept. 26, and the interment was in Crystal Lake cemetery.

            Hattie Thompson was born in Hitterdahl, Norway, August 27, 1871, and came to America with her family at the age of nine years, coming directly to Waupaca County.  She was united in marriage to James P.J. Jensen on January 21, 1890, who preceded her in death two years ago.  They lived on a farm in Dayton for twenty-seven years, moving to Waupaca in 1916, and then to Chicago in 1920.

            To this union six children were born, two of whom, W.J. Jensen of Dayton and Mrs. D.J. Bannick of Forest Park, Ill., survive.  Two sisters, Mrs. Ignes Chady of Casey Corners, and Mrs. L.H. Larsen of St. Lawrence, and one brother, Major Thomas Lonnevik of Devils Lake, North Dakota, also survive, the latter being unable to attend the funeral.

            Deceased was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, later changing to the local church at Crystal Lake, from which the funeral services were conducted on September 28, 1926, with Rev. Richardson of Waupaca, officiating.  Vocal selections were rendered by Orlando Anderson and Willys Holmes, accompanied by Mrs. Andrew Peterson.  The pallbearers were old friends and neighbors, Warner Caldwell, Ralph Rogers, John Lewis, Will Johnsn, Peter Peterson and Hervey Radley.

            Death occurred Septebmer 16, 1926, from pernicious aneamia at he hoem of her daughter at Forest Park, Ill.
